The wok is carbon steel and has been coated with oil to prevent oxidation. The wok should be washed with soapy water before use. Any film or discoloration that may be present can be scrubbed to remove. Each package includes a trilingual wok use and care sheet which explains preparing, seasoning and using the wok.
